“Washington is in turmoil, and liberal Democrat Josh Gottheimer is part of the problem. I’ve fought for New Jersey taxpayers my entire life. I defeated two statewide ballot questions that would have blown up the size of government. I took on the liberal tax-and-spend policies of Governors Jim McGreevey and John Corzine. I stopped John Corzine’s massive toll hike scheme and I took unprecedented action to stop our state from borrowing money without voter approval,” Lonegan said to his assembled supporters.

“I have spent my entire life working to protect taxpayers and will continue to do so.”

Warren County Freeholder Jason J. Sarnoski and former Republican councilman and attorney John McCann are his likely primary opponents though there are mutterings of a late entry or two this fall.
