Multiple and reliable campaign sources, Save Jerseyans, have confirmed the following: N.J. Democrats are headed to court this Election 2017 evening.
Their ask? Keeping the polls open until 9 p.m. Because of weather conditions, transportation problems, etc.
All horse**** of course.
But it sounds like a panic move…? For the legislative races in the counties or maybe even the gubernatorial race?
I’m told by one Republican legal source with familiarity of the efforts that three applications have been denied by judges thus far, in Monmouth, Morris and Atlantic.
Applications may still be pending Essex and Hudson. I’ll update you if/when I know more.
