With 91% of precincts reports in Alabama?
The Democrat, Doug Jones, boasted 580,690 votes in Tuesday’s special run-off election (49.5%), leading scandal-battered Roy Moore who had 574,578 (48.9%).
Jones’s few thousand vote margin was dwarfed by 18,727 write-in votes.
It’s always tempting to spin, stretch, and twist the results to make them fit your preordained narrative, Save Jerseyans.

Alabama simply didn’t like Roy Moore (including, it seems, a large percentage of Republicans).
