Roy Moore accuser admits writing part of the disputed yearbook inscription

There’s a bombshell out of Alabama today concerning the sexual misconduct allegations facing GOP U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore (via Fox News):

“Beverly Young Nelson told ABC News she wrote part of the disputed note in her high school yearbook that she and famed attorney Gloria Allred presented as proof the then-30-something Moore sought an inappropriate relationship with her in the late 1970s. Nelson still insisted that Moore wrote most of the message and signed the inscription, but said she made “notes” to it.

‘He did sign it,’ Nelson told ABC’s Tom Llamas.”

Nelson had accused Moore of making inappropriate advances on her when she was only a teenager but he was an adult.

She is one of three accusers who were underage when Moore allegedly behaved inappropriately towards them.

Notwithstanding the loaded charges weighing down his candidacy and push back from certain establishment GOP circles (e.g. the NRSC has refused to assist his campaign with outside spending), Moore leads his liberal Democrat opponent Doug Jones by a slim but steady 2.3-points in the RCP polling average ahead of the quickly-approaching December 12th special election.
