FLEMINGTON, NJ – Former Celgene CEO Bob Hugin wrapped up his second county line of the 2018 U.S. Senate GOP primary on Thursday night, receiving the nod of the Hunterdon County Republican Committee nominating convention convened in Flemington.

“As a former Marine, job creator, and philanthropist, Bob Hugin has committed his life to service, and will represent us with honor and integrity in Washington,” said Hunterdon County Republican Committee Chairman Patrick Torpey. “The Hunterdon GOP is excited to support and work for Bob Hugin for U.S. Senate and all of our endorsed candidates on the ballot.”

“I’m honored to be running on the same ticket as Congressman Leonard Lance and so many other talented Republican candidates this year,” added Hugin. “Working together, from the local grassroots level up through the top of the ticket, we will ensure victory in November.”

Hugin is expected to run the table in this year’s county line phase of the primary; he is receiving a challenge from Essex County concrete businessman Brian Goldberg.

The nominating contest’s winner will take on Bob Menendez in November.
