EVESHAM, N.J. — Democrat Andy Kim, challenger to Tom MacArthur in NJ-03 this November, held an anti-corruption rally on Monday alongside a group opposed to Citizens United and the influence of so-called ‘dark money’ in U.S. politics.
Kim’s hypocrisy on the issue of corporate cash in particular is a matter of public record.

What made this anti-corruption rally even more perplexing?
Kim’s express refusal to renounce his support of the severely-admonished and disgraced Bob Menendez during the rally.
“Andy Kim’s hypocrisy knows no bounds. He lied to collect an illegal property tax break. He was called out by The Washington Post for exaggerating his biography. Now, he’s holding an anti-corruption rally as he campaigns with corrupt career politician, Bob Menendez,” said Congressman Tom MacArthur in a statement following the remarkable pronouncement from Kim. “The same Bob Menendez who Democrats and Republicans on the Senate Ethics Committee say broke federal law. If Andy Kim wants to talk about corruption, he needs to start by disavowing Bob Menendez and calling on him to repay his convicted felon ‘best friend’ for the improper gifts he accepted. Anything short of that is just more hot air from a candidate who repeatedly says one thing and does another.”
Menendez still owes $1 million in improperly-accepted gifts which need to be repaid.
