WASHINGTON, D.C. — Focused on 2018? Okay. So are we. But the Kavanaugh hearings have brought 2020 — and the potential of a Cory Booker presidential candidacy — back into the general political discussion.
The Trumpster versus Spartacus?
It’s not an impossible or perhaps even improbable match up, Save Jerseyans, although almost no one seems to rank Booker (D-Twitter) among the top three (or even top five) of likely 2020 Democrat presidential contenders at the moment. He’s got some base problems for some votes he’s taken on pharma-related issues, and others seem to have a sneaking suspicion he’s a little too… theatrical. Ask none other than Obama’s former tactician-in-chief David Axelrod.
Selfishly? We here at Save Jersey would love Booker to go all of the way to November 2020 because (1) we think he’s very beatable and (2) a Booker nomination would be amazing for traffic.
Tell us how you think it would all shake out:
