TRENTON, N.J. – New Jersey hasn’t supported a Republican for president since 1988, so it’s no surprise to see 50% of New Jersey adults supportive of President Trump’s impeachment in a brand new Fairleigh Dickinson poll.
“Reports of a controversial call between President Trump and the newly elected Ukrainian president are fairly recent. And yet, half of New Jerseyans seem to have heard enough to convince them to support impeachment hearings,” opined Krista Jenkins, director of the FDU poll.
36% are opposed. Another 12% are undecided.
The poll of 548 adults did not control for registered voters or “likely” voters.
