N.J. unemployment claims hit 718K on Easter Eve

TRENTON, N.J. – The New Jersey Department of Labor (NJDOL) disclosed another 141,420 new unemployment claims for the week ending April 11th; the new COVID-19 unemployment claim total is 718,000+.

The trend is likely to continue since Governor Phil Murphy is singaling that the shutdown of all “non-essential” businesses is likely to continue into June and possibly July.
