Point Pleasant Beach police attempt to manage surprise crowd

POINT PLEASANT BEACH, N.J. – It’s unclear whether the gathering was political or something politically agnostic, but local and county police found themselves grappling with a large crowd on Point Pleasant Beach on Tuesday evening.

Governor Phil Murphy had “lifted” his stay-at-home order earlier in the day, permitting crowds of up to 100 to gather and an unlimited number for “First Amendment” activities like church or protests.
