LACEY TOWNSHIP, N.J. – It’s nice to see an elected official take a difficult stand especially since it’s very rare. The mayor of Lacey Township says his township was asked to assist in boarding up Lakeside Diner, the under-siege Ocean County eatery offering indoor dining in defiance of Governor Murphy’s orders.
Steven Kennis – a Republican – tweeted on Tuesday that he had declined to allow the local department of public works assist:
–
The township was asked to use DPW employees to help board up the Lakeside Diner. We declined.
