TRENTON, N.J. – A new analysis published by The Balance reveals that the average-earning New Jerseyan will spend 50% – $931,698 – of their lifetime earnings on taxes. That’s the nation’s worst lifetime burden. That’s considerably worse than neighboring Pennsylvania ($597,167) and New York ($734,563).
