NJ.com’s editorial board could’ve opined on any number of important topics this Sunday, Save Jerseyans. Energy independence, inflation, the war in Eastern Europe, a national crime wave or any number of other critical challenges hanging over the American people’s heads.
Instead, it unleashed a shrill attack on the character of Ginni Thomas, wife of veteran conservative Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.
The Left has always hated Clarence Thomas because he’s a conservative (which is enough of a reason for them) but primarily because he’s a black conservative. You can read the opinion piece here if you’re a glutton for punishment, but I can save you the trouble: Ginni Thomas is a conservative, pro-Trump activist, so therefore Justice Thomas is hopelessly compromised and unfit to serve.

Since when is being a partisan a crime?
Speaking of “crime,” rumors are swirling that none other than Hunter Biden, our president’s black sheep son, may soon face indictment (!) in connection with a tax fraud probe. Try to conceal your surprise! Meanwhile, The New York Times has finally admitted that the laptop story is legit. Would the close 2020 election have turned out differently had the media taken evidence of Biden family corruption seriously?
NJ.com’s editorial board was among the many outlets, along with the NYT, downplaying the laptop story in October 2020 as Americans cast their ballots. The official advice: “Don’t vote for Hunter Biden. But Joe Biden is okay.”

“Desperation explains Giuliani’s latest stunt as well, his delivery of the contents of a laptop once owned by Hunter Biden to the New York Post, including emails that supposedly reveal corruption by both Bidens.
How bad was that article? How low are the standards of the New York Post?
Fox rejected Giuliani’s pitch, as did the Wall Street Journal and other major media outlets. The reason is they could not verify that contents of this laptop are genuine, and Giuliani has resisted answering questions intended to examine their authenticity. In an unguarded moment, Giuliani admitted that he chose the NY Post because they would not “spend all the time they could to try to contradict it before they put it out.”
It’s called fact-checking, Rudy.
Since the laptop story broke, two former business partners of Hunter Biden’s have released their own emails about their efforts to arrange business deals in China with Hunter, possibly including the former vice-president. So far, it’s all smoke and no fire.”
Oops.
Ginni Thomas hasn’t broken any laws. Hunter Biden’s status remains undetermined.
If the republic falls, folks, it won’t be because a judge’s wife harbored strong opinions. Corruption in the first family and a media more devoted to helping Democrats than serving the truth? Much, much more likely culprits.
