Peterson receives pro-life support in NJ-07

Erik Peterson

The New Jersey Right to Life PAC is backing Assemblyman Erik Peterson (R-23) in NJ-07.

“During his time as an Assemblyman, Erik Peterson has been a strong and vocal supporter of the sanctity of human life. He has consistently voted pro-life and is the sponsor of many life-protective bills, including the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act and the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act,” said Marie Tasy, Executive Director of New Jersey Right to Life on Thursday. “Erik has most recently signed on as a co-sponsor of legislation to repeal Governor Murphy’s shameful and unpopular 9 month abortion on demand act.”

“I am honored to receive such an important endorsement,” said Peterson, “A truly humane and noble society is a civilization that values and promotes life above all else. Standing up for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all Americans, born and unborn, is what I will continue to do in Washington when elected for Congress.”

Tom Kean Jr. is nevertheless the frontrunner for the NJ-07 GOP nomination having nabbed the primary line for every county in the district.

The only competitive New Jersey House district that got more red in the redistricting process, Republicans have high hopes of unseating incumbent Tom Malinowski in November. Kean, the 2020 nominee, came within 4,000 votes of winning the seat the last time around.
