When the Murphy Administration moved to make New Jersey a “sanctuary state” for illegal aliens in late 2018, the Democrat regime barred state and local law enforcement from cooperating with the federal government.
The Governor is dusting off the same playbook now that it appears Roe v. Wade‘s days are numbered.
On Wednesday, Murphy announced new executive action on abortion including a promise that the state “will not cooperate with any out of state investigation into our health care providers that seeks to punish anyone – patient, provider, counselor, friend, or Uber driver – for providing abortion care.”
Part of the plan is to turn New Jersey into a destination for “abortion tourism” when red and some purple state appear poised to enact restrictions:
We’re recommending two new proposals to secure abortion access by:
✅Protecting medical providers and patients who provide or receive abortion care in New Jersey from legal actions initiated by states who have outlawed abortion
✅Establishing a Reproductive Health Access Fund— Governor Phil Murphy (@GovMurphy) May 11, 2022
We’re proposing legislation to bolster access to reproductive care by:
✅Codifying the expansion of potential abortion providers to include advanced practice nurses, midwives, & physician assistants
✅Mandating that insurance plans in NJ cover abortion with no out-of-pocket costs— Governor Phil Murphy (@GovMurphy) May 11, 2022
Let me be clear: New Jersey will not cooperate with any out of state investigation into our health care providers that seeks to punish anyone – patient, provider, counselor, friend, or Uber driver – for providing abortion care.

What’s next? Planned Parenthood tour buses and live in-clinic abortion demonstrations?
Is this really where we want to go?
A sanctuary for abortionists.
A sanctuary for illegal aliens.
A sanctuary for legalized weed.
The Murphy Administration continues to labor – intensely – to turn the Garden State into a haven for demographics that Democrats believe benefit their electoral bottom line.
As for ordinary taxpayers primarly concerned with education, taxes, baby formula, $5 gasoline and runaway grocery bills?
Our sanctuary lies elsewhere.
