Employees at the Hamilton (located at Whitehorse-Mercerville Road) and Summit, New Jersey Starbucks locations have voted to unionize, Save Jerseyans, joining the Hopewell Township store.
The Hamilton vote was 8-3.
Starbucks and union bosses continue to clash nationwide, a fight that picked up steam after the interim CEO threatened to decrease benefits for unionized locations.
Governor Murphy celebrated the results on Twitter:
Congratulations to @SBWUNJ workers in Hamilton and Summit on voting to become the second and third unionized Starbucks stores in New Jersey!
@Starbucks should immediately recognize the union and enter into contract negotiations. New Jersey is stronger with unions.— Governor Phil Murphy (@GovMurphy) May 2, 2022
