Tom Kean Jr., the NJ-07 GOP nominee, is the latest Republican House hopeful to lean into a pro-parental rights message as the summer fades and the final weeks of Election 2022 arrive.
“We had an outstanding Parents Voice Coalition Back-to-School relaunch tonight in Warren Twp! Passionate Moms and Dads advocating on behalf of New Jersey families,” Kean tweeted on Thursday. “My opponent mocks and demeans your concerns – I’ve always listened and led. I’ll always be your voice in Congress.”
Democrat incumbent Tom Malinowski raised eyebrows back in March 2022 when he dismissed parent protests as school board meetings as “made-up cultural bullshit.” Meanwhile, a set of radical sex ed curriculum standards just went into effect across New Jersey beginning with the fall 2022 semester.
NJ-07 is considered the most likely N.J. House seat to flip in November after Malinowski held onto a bluer pre-redistricting configuration of the district by only 4,000 votes in 2020.
