VIDEO: Healey ad roasts Kim for being ‘soft on crime’

The campaign of Republican Bob Healey released a new ad on Monday roasting incumbent Andy Kim (D, NJ-03) for being ‘soft on crime.’

The ad stars a Burlington County resident – Jessica Goralski – who was victimized when a criminal broke into her family’s home. “Andy Kim is not making this town safe at all,” Goralski warns before offering a full-throated endorsement of Healey.

In a release accompanying the ad launch announcement, the Healey campaign zeroed-in on Andy Kim’s role as co-founder of “Rise Stronger,” a 2016 organization notable for espousing anti-police positions including promoting a book by notorious cop-killer Mumia Abu-Jamal.

Kim has also affiliated with “Friends of Our Revolution South Jersey” which backs cashless bail and “DFA–NJ,” an affiliate of Democracy for America which advocates for defunding the police.

“Frankly, it’s wrong for Andy to happily brag about federal grants for law enforcement while he refuses to stand up for police officers and supports policies that make their jobs harder,” said Healey.
