It’s happened again, Save Jerseyans.
Councilman Russell D. Heller (R-Milford) was shot and killed on Wednesday morning outside of the PSE&G facility in Franklin Township, New Jersey. The suspect – who subsequently took his own life in Bridgewater – was reportedly a former co-worker.
Heller’s murder comes only one week after the tragic fatal shooting of Sayreville Republican Councilwoman Eunice Dwumfour.
“It is with great sadness and shock that we offer our condolences to the family of Milford Councilman Russell Heller — an outstanding public servant and devoted father,” said NJGOP Chairman Bob Hugin. “To see the lives of not one but two community leaders cut tragically short within one week is unimaginably distressing. As we mourn these losses, we are particularly praying for justice and answers in the unsolved murder of Sayreville Councilwoman Eunice Dwumfour. May God bless both of their memories.”
There’s still no named suspect in Dwumfour’s murder.
