State Senator Ed Durr unveiled his third 2023 running mate this weekend on the Cumberland and Gloucester county breakfast circuit, introducing Hopewell Committeeman Tom Tedesco to supporters. Tedesco will join first-term incumbent Bethanne McCarthy Patrick in seeking one of two Assembly nomination in LD3.
Durr and McCarthy won a titanic upset in 2021 defeating Senate President Steve Sweeney’s ticket alongside Woolwich Township Republican Beth Sawyer. Durr and Sawyer had an equally epic falling out almost immediately.
The end result: Salem County Commissioner Mickey Ostrum is primarying Durr in June, and he’s teaming up with Sawyer and ex-Harrison Township Committeeman Adam Wingate in a match-up that threatens to not only distract from another big county-level race in Gloucester County but also a coveted GOP pick-up opportunity in nearby LD4.
We look forward to seeing and meeting all of the great folks in our district!
