No less than 33 Democrats joined Senate Republicans on Wednesday to block the District of Columbia’s crime bill. The absolutely inane proposed changes to the D.C. code – including reduced penalties for robbery, burglary, and carjacking – fell to a 81-14 vote in favor of a GOP resolution which even Joe Biden felt compelled to support.
