LD24 GOP Assembly debate moderated by Wildstein, Rooney set for April 27th

Election 2023 is here, and the candidates in this year’s most hotly-contested New Jersey Assembly Republican primary contest will meet for a Save Jersey-sponsored debate on April 27th at 8:30 PM EST.

Save Jersey‘s Matt Rooney is once again proudly teaming-up with New Jersey Globe editor David Wildstein to host an online debate between two tickets with four candidates between them: LD24 candidates Warren County Commissioner Jason Sarnoski and Lafayette Board of Education President Josh Aikens in one corner and Sussex County Commissioner Dawn Fantasia and Chester Mayor Mike Inganamort in the other.

This year’s bruising LD24 primary came about when Assemblymen Parker Space and Hal Wirths (R-Wantage) both decided to NOT seek reelection in June.  However, Space later rejoined the race as a senate candidate when State Senator Steven Oroho followed his Assembly running mates in declining a reelection bid in June 2023. Steve Lonegan briefly mounted a challenge to Space but quickly flamed out leaving all of the action on the Assembly side of the card.

Heightening the suspense: LD24 is dominated by Sussex County which doesn’t have a “county line.”

The debate will be available LIVE via the respective Facebook profiles, Twitter accounts, YouTube pages, and websites of both SaveJersey.com and NewJerseyGlobe.com
