The Ocean County GOP dumped Assemblywoman DiAnne Gove (R-9) from the county line on Wednesday night, giving the nod of approval instead to Assemblyman Brian Rumpf of Little Egg Harbor and Stafford Mayor Greg Myhre.
Gove could seek reelection off-of-the-line but faces a steep climb in a county with a traditionally strong column. She first entered the Assembly in December 2009 after a seat was left vacant by Assemblyman Daniel Van Pelt who was arrested in the midst of the Operation Bid Rig crackdown.
