
No one has contradicted reports of an imminent Trump indictment as early as Tuesday, Save Jerseyans, and some New Jersey-based supporters of the 45th president are planning to voice their discontent.
The “Let’s Go Brandon” store in Toms River, New Jersey which sells Trump-themed and right-of-center merchandise is planning one such rally on Tuesday beginning at 10:00 a.m. “Join us and Spread the word as we are having a America First rally in support of President Donald J. Trump,” explained the store’s event page on Facebook.
At the heart of the coming legal battle is a Manhattan District Attorney’s Office-led probe into a payment made to porn store Stormy Daniels in the lead up to the 2016 election; the actual payment isn’t the issue (non-disclosure related payments are common among public figures and major corporations) but rather how the payment was allegedly classified and ultimately reimbursed to Trump’s former attorney Michael Cohen, a convicted felon.
President Trump initially called for protests last week after announcing that he expected to be arrested on March 21st but many Republicans – including Speaker Kevin McCarthy – have thrown cold water on the suggestion.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Secret Service and the NYPD reportedly huddled on Monday to discuss security for an upcoming event, presumably Trump’s arrest and possible arraignment in New York City.
