It couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy, Save Jerseyans…
Recently, as first reported by yours truly via Twitter, Phil Murphy popped into Red Rock (located in Red Bank, New Jersey) and was invited on stage by Brian Kirk of the musical ensemble Brian Kirk & the Jirks. The Democrat governor was immediately and loudly (listen below) booed by the crowd assembled in this decidedly “blue” Jersey Shore community.
Kirk jumped in to defend New Jersey’s most infamous “jirk” but to no avail.
“Hey!,” Kirk lectured the crowd, repeatedly. “What did I tell you guys? Listen to me! He didn’t want to hear that. He’s a buddy of mine, this is not about politics. He’s a friend of mine, do not do that. Please. Out of respect for my friend.”

Ironically, the Red Rock bar’s website features a plea to patrons for patience due to an “unprecedented labor shortage” in the industry. I wonder who helped bring that about???
Better luck next time, jirks!
Murphy’s popularity at the increasingly “red” Jersey Shore has taken a further hit as of late as he forges ahead with an unpopular plan to place hundreds of wind turbines off of the Garden State, the exploration for which is believed to be causing mass whale and dolphin deaths; some marine mammals victims have washed up in the vicinity of Red Bank including walking distance from Murphy’s mansion.
