WATCH LIVE: BPU hearing on banning gas stoves in N.J. begins at 1PM

The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU) will take up “energy efficiency and peak demand reduction programs” on Wednesday during a “special meeting” broadcast online (see below). That’s code for radical green shit, Save Jerseyans, including banning gas-powered stoves/ranges across the Garden State. Good luck trying to make your kids’ eggs during a power outage! And small businesses – already ravaged by years of bad pandemic policies, inflationary pressures and taxes/regulation – will now be forced to invest thousands of dollars to comply with “electrification” requirements.

“@NJBPU is mtg today to decide whether 70% of NJ residents and countless restaurants may use gas stoves to cook. Do you think this issue should be decided by the Gov’s appointees on the @NJBPU? If not, and you like using a gas stove, do not forget to vote Republican in Nov,” tweeted Victoria Flynn, a Republican Assemblywoman representing LD13 (Monmouth County).

Facing a tough electoral cycle, some battleground South Jersey Democrats (who’ve otherwise supported the Murphy agenda) are reportedly waffling.
