Democrats reconquered ground lost in 2021 at the Jersey Shore on Tuesday night, with incumbent Vin Gopal pulling his Assembly running mates Margie Donlon and Luanne Peterpaul across the finish line and ending the one-term legislative careers of Republicans Marilyn Piperno and Kim Eulner.
It wasn’t as close as expected in large part due to a 8,000+ vote Democrat early vote advantage which proved far too strong for the GOP ticket to overcome.
