“…Hamas is really smart,” Bill Clinton told an applauding crowd on May 13, 2016 in Ewing Township, New Jersey. “When they decide to rocket Israel, they insinuate themselves in the hospitals, in the schools, in the highly populous areas, and they are smart. They said they try to put the Israelis in a position of either not defending themselves or killing innocents. They’re good at it. They’re smart. They’ve been doing this a long time.”
“I killed myself to give the Palestinians a state. I had a deal they turned down that would have given them all of Gaza,” added Clinton who was stumping for his wife during her ill-fated second presidential run.
Clinton’s comments raised a few pairs of eyebrows at the time, but they certainly didn’t attract anywhere close to same level of negative scrutiny experienced by Donald Trump when he said Hezbollah was “very smart” in October.
Calling out hypocrisy never seems to move the needle. It should, of course, but this isn’t a fair world! Still, we’ll call it when we see it here at SaveJersey.com for anyone willing to challenge the Narrative…
