It’s been a busy day on the U.S. Senate front, Save Jerseyans, as prospective Republicans candidates hoping to succeed Bob Menendez made moves ahead of convention season.
Here’s an overview…
- Cape May County developer Curtis Bashaw filed with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) making his candidacy official
- Mendham Borough Mayor and declared candidate Christine Serrano Glassner attached Bashaw for a history of donations to Democrats, $30,000 in total, including Cory Booker and Donald Norcross
- Possible candidate Alex Zdan launched a web video touting his history of challenging the Murphy Administration as a News12 reporter:
I spent a career fighting to hold the powerful accountable.
Now, I'm recruiting a team of fighters to clean up corruption and take back power from political elites.

A fourth possible Republican candidate is none other than Melinda Ciattarelli, the estranged wife of three-time gubernatorial hopeful Jack Ciattarelli.
The Democrat field to replace the indicted Senator Melendez is led by Tammy Murphy (wife of the governor) and Congressman Andy Kim of NJ-03.
Republicans haven’t elected a U.S. Senator from New Jersey since before Watergate.
