VIDEO: Menendez denies Qatar allegations, protests innocence on Senate floor

Denial just ain’t a river in Egypt, Save Jerseyans (one of the foreign states for which U.S. Senator Robert Menendez allegedly acted as an unregistered foreign agent).

On Tuesday, the embattled Democrat who survived one indictment from several years ago took to the floor of the Senate to address the new superseding federal indictment in which he’s accused of accepting bribes from the nation of Qatar.

“I have received nothing… absolutely nothing… from the government of Qatar or on behalf of the government of Qatar to promote their image or their issues,” said Menendez, who is also accused of accepting gold bars and other forms of bribes in exchange for favors.

“I’m innocent and I intend to prove it,” he added.
