Former News 12 journalist Alex Zdan endorsed Curtis Bashaw on Tuesday, a reflection of campaign momentum for the Cape May-based developer as he steams towards an April 3rd debate co-hosted by Save Jersey.
Zdan abandoned his own campaign for Senate over the weekend; Monmouth County and Passaic County promptly switched their endorsement to Bashaw after initially endorsing Zdan during the county convention phase.
“He and I hold shared views on the majority of the issues: securing our borders, supporting our military, police and first responders, rebuilding our economy, and ending the failed leadership of Bob Menendez and Joe Biden,” Zdan shared on X posted alongside two photos of Bashaw and himself meeting outside of a diner. “I’m confident that @CurtisBashaw can unite the party, and will help him achieve that while working towards Republican down ballot wins across the state.”
Bashaw now boasts endorsements from counties equating to roughly 2/3rds of the 2020 primary vote while his remaining viable opponent, Mendham Mayor Christine Glassner, holds the line in six counties including Bergen and Morris.
BREAKING: Unity in the Republican party is even more important now than it was last week to mobilize against the radical progressive agenda of Democrat insider Andy Kim.
Today I am putting my support behind @Bashawforsenate as the candidate to beat Democrats in November. (1/3) pic.twitter.com/j4LFsqA6fH
