The U.S. House of Representatives voted to reauthorize the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) on Friday with 273 in favor and 147 voting nay.
One of the dissenters was Jeff Van Drew (R, NJ-02) who leaned on a classic Ben Franklin quote to explain his opposition. Van Drew was joined by a Republican from New Jersey (Chris Smith) and two Democrats (Bonnie Watson Coleman and Frank Pallone) in voting against reauthorization.
