Tapper calls out Booker for trying to pass Kamala off as a non-incumbent

There’s plenty about Election 2024 that makes a normal, well-adjusted human being want to pull their hair out, Save Jerseyans. Gaslighting from the Left. Cowardice in some quarters of the Right. Media bias on (almost) every channel and platform.

But easily one of the most aggravating aspects of this presidential contest is the Democrat attempt to pretend that Kamala Harris isn’t an incumbent who’s been in Washington, D.C. since 2017 and the West Wing since 2021. Every single time she proposes something new – when she actually speaks in public, usually shielded from media scrutiny – the listener is left to wonder why she hasn’t trying her bold new idea at any point over the past 3 1/2 years.

Even CNN’s Jake Tapper is curious, and he let Cory Booker (D-X) know all about it this weekend on CNN.

“A new chapter? I mean, she’s the incumbent Vice President,” an exasperated Tapper replied to Booker, a long-time Harris ally. ” Democrats have controlled the White House for 12 of the last 16 years. How can Democrats talk about a new chapter – turning the page – you guys are the ones writing the book?”

You tell me if you think Spartacus’s answer was persuasive:
