Illegal immigration is arguably the number one issue of Election 2024. Normally, when we’re discussing illegals, we’re referring to those – mostly from Central and South American nations – who cross the Southern Border without permission.
But there’s action up north, too, Save Jerseyans. In fact, there’s been a significant spike in illegal crossings over the U.S.-Canadian Border from countries including India.
The Biden-Harris Administration’s open border policies just don’t apply to the… Irish?
Late last month, the U.S. Attorney for Vermont announced the indictment of a New Jersey man for allegedly “unlawfully transporting citizens of Ireland, who had entered the United States unlawfully.” Now Tyshan Murray of Union, New Jersey faces up to five years in prison.
“According to court records, on September 8, 2024, nine citizens of Ireland had crossed into the United States illegally in the vicinity of Drew Road in Richford, Vermont,” the U.S. Attorney’s office explained. “Murray picked up these nine citizens near the U.S.-Canada border and transported them in his SUV, including two young children who were unrestrained in the rear cargo compartment.”
The irony? Layered in there with ample globs of hypocrisy?
New Jersey and Vermont are both “sanctuary states” which previously pledged to stop state and local law enforcement from cooperating with federal authorities in immigration enforcement. The fervor for sanctuary statehood died down amid this cycle’s political blowback driven by the chaos at the U.S.-Mexican border, but it’s worth observing that our federal government is not just allowing our borders to disolve into chaos but also selectively deciding who gets to break the law.
Remember: the Biden-Harris Administration is presently allowing terrorists, drug dealers, gang members, and God knows who else enter into the country.
So much for the luck of the Irish…
