President Donald Trump’s October 2024 visit to a Bronx barbershop gave us some of the most enduring images of Election 2024.
Jack Ciattarelli is obviously hoping to accomplish now what the president-elect did several weeks ago, Save Jerseyans: project to any persuadable voters that he’s a Republican candidate willing to go where others previously haven’t.
“Last couple stops on the Barbershop Tour – Omega 3 and the JC Barbershop,” the 2021 nominee shared on social media earlier Saturday. “It’s time to make it easier for small businesses like these to succeed, create jobs, and grow here in NJ. When I’m Governor, I will.”
Ciattarelli’s Essex County swing through black-owned businesses follows a historically competitive performance by Trump in New Jersey, losing the Garden State by only 5-points (the closest race here since 1992) and making tremendous strides in minority-dominated municipalities including in North Jersey. Fox News exit polling discovered Trump capturing 25% of black male support nationally in November, the best any GOP nominee has performed with that demographic since the ’60s.
