Save Jersey is proud to serve as a co-sponsor for the first Republican gubernatorial primary debate of Election 2025, secheduled for February 4th at Rider University.
The event – set for Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 7:00 PM – will also be broadcast online.
Four candidates are confirmed for the debate: 2021 nominee Jack Ciattarelli, radio host Bill Spadea, ex-State Senator Ed “The Trucker” Durr, and state Senator Jon Bramnick (R-21). Additional candidates may be invited in the event that they join the race at the sole discretion of the sponsors.
Save Jersey is proudly joined by The New Jersey Globe, On New Jersey, and the Rebovich Institute for New Jersey Politics at Rider University as debate co-sponsors.
Laura Jones of MeTV-WJLP is the debate moderator; the panelists will be New Jersey Globe founder and editor David Wildstein, New Jersey Globe reporter Joey Fox, and Rider University professor Micah Rasmussen, and Save Jersey editor and founder Matt Rooney. Students will also provide questions for the cadidates.

All eyes are now on New Jersey, an emerging ‘swing state.’ 2025 should be competitive, this state desperately needs competitive races, and I look forward to hearing from each candidate how they’ll make sure it’s competitive should they receive the nomination.”
