Bill Spadea’s position on amnesty is a subject of controversy, Save Jerseyans, but he’s been very consistent in refusing to commit to supporting a Republican nominee who isn’t himself.
The former NJ 101.5 radio host and 2025 gubernatorial primary candidate went on a fairly sustained rant on Thursday night during a Twitter Spaces Q&A discussion.
“There is no ‘yes’ or ‘no,’ that’s my answer. There is no yes or no. Because this is a very complicated and complex problem,” said Spadea in response to X questioner Jacktron’s third attempt to get a direct answer.
“As far as I’m concerned, losing this primary to a RINO near Democrat is as bad as losing the general to the Democrats,” continued Spadea, adding “you’re going to have a hard time finding a big difference” between Ciattarelli and the Democrat frontrunner, Mikie Sherrill. Spadea also reminded the audience that he did not support or vote for Ciattarelli in 2021 when Ciattarelli narrowly lost a surprisingly close contest to Phil Murphy.
When Jacktron tried to ask the question again in search of a direct answer, the Spaces host cut him short and then proceeded to compliment Spadea’s response. I know how Jacktron feels! Welcome to my world.
Thus far, the private and public polls have unanimously shown a double-digit Jack Ciattarelli lead which existed prior to President Trump’s early May endorsement of Ciattarelli, a businessman and former legislator.

This was the answer that he gave.… pic.twitter.com/bO6JIrHHdI
