Have you ever eaten a sh*t sandwich, Save Jerseyans? If your address is in New Jersey, then you’ve eaten one every day under 20 years of Democratic rule in the assembly.
Two guys who are fed up with it are Barry Wilkes and Rob Kaiser running for assembly in LD38 – a swing district in southern Bergen County where the Trump coalition could easily put this seat back in Republican hands.
I’ve said it before about this race: who knows their community better than a guy who owns a deli (Barry) and former police officer (Rob)? They certainly have more real-world experience than the two machine stooges they have in there now, who play the role of moderates, but still vote along party lines 99% of the time. In fact, you may recognize Democrat Lisa Swain from the cringeworthy hearing during which our friend over at Wake Up NJ made a complete fool out of her.
Now, back to sandwiches. In the interest of full disclosure, Barry, as the father of one of my closest friends, and he kept me alive on delicious Wilkes Delicatessen sandwiches during my Ramen noodle college days. And even if I didn’t know him? What a story. He took a three-generation family delicatessen started by his grandparents during the Depression and expanded it out to eleven stores, creating jobs and giving ownership opportunities to guys looking for their own slice of the American Dream.
So I had to laugh (cry?) when I saw a video of the worst sandwich I’ve ever made in the interest of sharing how much the Democrats have truly screwed us over the last two decades. Trenton Democrats think they can keep feeding us slop, and we’ll just take it.
Take a look:
All eyes are on the gubernatorial race between Jack Ciattarelli and Mikie Sherrill (and with Mikie Sherill’s outlandish “killer app” charge and Nick Sacco’s embrace of Team Jack, who can blame people?).
But equally as important are the 80 assembly seats up this year. For real change, we need a Republican governor and the 13 seats to a majority so that Jack can actually govern.
Barry, a small business guy, and Rob, a two-term Paramus councilman and former deputy police chief in South Hackensack, are exactly the kind of people we need in Trenton. They don’t need the job, but they’ll take the Democrats’ smears and public scrutiny because they want to save our state.
