N.J. Republicans continue outpacing Democrat vote by mail return rate

It’s (way) too soon to pop any champagne corks, Save Jerseyans, or even thinking about buying any, but Republican vote by mail rates continue to provide reason for GOP optimism in the Garden State with under a month left to go before Election Day 2025.

As of Wednesday morning, New Jersey Republicans had enlarged their statewide vote by mail return rate advantage by a full basis point (0.01%):

Republican: 28.15%
Democrat: 25.99%
Democrat Raw Advantage: 85,756 (as of 10/7)

What does the NJGOP lead in VBM return dates mean?

A lot… potentially.

“The read is that now is about the time we expect to see Democrats begin to cut into that return rate edge and eventually take the lead,” explained Michael Pruser, Director of Data Science for Decision Desk HQ. “If that doesn’t happen over the next week, then we’ve got something.”

Republicans can control their own destiny if this continues with a strong showing during early in-person voting which begins on October 25th.

Stay tuned and MAKE A PLAN TO VOTE.
