It was about one year ago exactly that Barack Obama walked into a Pittsburgh area Harris campaign field office and proceeded to lecture black men for not getting behind the Veep.
“My understanding, based on reports I’m getting from campaigns and communities, is that we have not yet seen the same kinds of energy and turnout in all quarters of our neighborhoods and communities as we saw when I was running,” Obama explained, adding that the dearth of enthusiasm for Harris “seems to be more pronounced with the brothers.”
“And you are thinking about sitting out?” Obama continued in his signature arrogant ‘bitter clingers’ tone. “Part of it makes me think, and I’m speaking to men directly, part of it makes me think that, well, you just aren’t feeling the idea of having a woman as president, and you’re coming up with other alternatives and other reasons for that.”
Needless to say, our first black president’s manipulative attempt to guilt black men into voting against their best interests didn’t work. Exit polls suggest Donald Trump ultimately won 21% of black male voters in 2024, the best showing for a Republican nominee in generations (plural). Barry’s Beta Male virtue signaling is only part of the reason why his circle is losing influence both outside and inside of the Democrat Party.
Interestingly, our inaugural Save Jersey Poll released late last month found Jack Ciattarelli winning 21% of the black vote heading into Election Day 2025. October polling by other outfits has identified a similar trend. You’d think Democrats might’ve learned something from last year with polling suggesting a repeat disaster? Nope! Right on cue, Team Sherrill is dusting off last year’s failed playbook and rolling out a Barack Obama GOTV video.
“Mikie is a mom who will drive down costs for New Jersey families,” Obama’s script begins. “As a federal prosecutor and former Navy helicopter pilot, she worked to keep our communities safe. Mikie’s integrity, grit, and commitment to service are what we need right now in our leaders.”
Well, at least he’s trying not to be a condescending ass this time! The struggle is real.
Unfortunately for Mikie, Obama does nothing to address why black men are struggling… in their communities AND with their historic ties to the Democrat Party. No new solutions are offered. No course correction is made to adjust for the economic, immigration, education, and cultural priorities which are driving non-white voters out of the Left’s coalition. The 2024 trend is likely to continue until Democrats come to grips with the root causes of their growing rift with black voters which, ironically, reached critical levels with the rhetoric and policies of our first black president.
