Vance statistically tied with Newsom in N.J. for hypothetical 2028 matchup

Still don’t believe New Jersey is a purple state?

Check out the brand new SoCal that dropped on Thursday.

It shows a competitive gubernatorial race, but the real action is on the 2028 presidential scene. In a hypothetical 2028 General Election matchup, California Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom is running ahead of Vice President JD Vance by a single point in New Jersey. Newsom just recently confirmed the worst kept secret in America politics by publicly expressing his interest in the 2028 race.

Remember: no Republican has carried the Garden State in a presidential general election since 1988.

Joe Biden carried New Jersey by 16 points in 2020.

In 2024, Kamala Harris scraped by with only a 6 margin.

The trend is pretty convincing at this point. Click here to check it out for yourself.
