Regardless of where or how you come down on the Epstein Files saga, Save Jerseyans, what should be uncontroversial is the Democrats’ gross hypocrisy. They didn’t give a damn about Epstein, his victims, or the child trafficking crisis until Donald Trump returned to office in January, and even then, it’s been all politically-motivated talk while the Trump Administration is working to locate thousands of missing migrants kids.
Jeff Van Drew (R, NJ-02) made that very point during Tuesday’s floor debate over the legislation to compel the files’ release:
Today, I voted to release the Epstein files.
I have proudly cosponsored @RepThomasMassie’s resolution from the start.
Let’s be clear: Democrats had four years to release these files and refused.
