VIDEO: Mejia officially joins the House, immediately attempts Booker impersonation

What is it with Leftists trying to sound like preachers under the Capitol Dome, Save Jerseyans?

Shortly after being sworn in on Monday, Rep. Analilia Mejia (D-11) immediately went to work doing her best Cory Booker impression, voice raised, ranting about non-specific lost rights and the grandeur of her own “unlikely reality.”

“At a time where our Constitution and our rights are under strain, we are called not just to serve but to stand up to protect and to deliver on the promise of equal protection and justice under our great laws,” Mejia told her colleagues. “That is the work ahead of us, that is the work we must take on.”

Mejia, a socialist Democrat, won a special election to succeed Mikie Sherrill last Thursday by 20-points. She’ll now need to secure a full term of her own in November assuming, as expected, she wins the June Democrat primary.
