TRENTON, N.J. – Of course it was on a Subaru, Save Jerseyans.
On Thursday, NJ.com reported that the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) is recalling a “FDT8647” license plate.
The plate was originally approved in April 2025 leading some to question how such an obviously inappropriate tag made it over a year in existence before being flagged. Under the New Jersey Administrative Code, vulgar motor vehicle tags as well as plates “directed to and likely to incite imminent lawless action” or containing “words which inflict injury or tend to incite an immediate breach of the peace” are supposed to be denied.
Here’s what it looks like:
Why did the @NJ_MVC approve this plate that says F Donald Trump and 8647 him 🧐!?
This isn’t funny, it’s literally calling for the death of a sitting president, where did society go wrong where this is acceptable? https://t.co/x9SYONOSUW pic.twitter.com/Gt7nBY7EMk
