It’s almost like he enjoyed being degraded by his childhood idol?
Chris Christie was in the audience for Bruce Springsteen’s openly anti-Trump “Land of Hope and Dreams” tour on Thursday night, Save Jerseyans; his love of Springsteen is well-known despite the rock star’s far-Left politics and historic lack of reciprocated enthusiasm. He’s criticized Christie more than once and, at one point, Springsteen even mocked Christie in a song.
Not much has changed. The former governor had floor seats at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and, when the Boss came strolling by during his performance, shot a hand out to high-five Springsteen.
Bruce wasn’t having any of it:
HAHAHA Bruce Springsteen WAS NOT HAVING IT with Chris Christie. THE SNUB! pic.twitter.com/fFj71l8Fs7

The snub is funny, but Christie’s loyalty to Springsteen despite the poor treatment in return tells us something important about the man’s psyche:
Like many politicians, Christie’s desire to be loved (and accepted) is as insatiable as his appetite. Hence, why he’s willing to debase himself on liberal networks criticizing Donald Trump despite the Left’s antipathy for Christie.
Yes, it’s sad. Imagine what could’ve been if insecurity wasn’t such a major stumbling block in his life?
