NEWARK, N.J. – Didn’t this seem inevitable?
Anyone who’s traveled the New Jersey Turnpike (I-95) through North Jersey knows that it runs alongside Newark Liberty International Airport’s eastern boundary between Exit 13A and Exit 14, Save Jerseyans. It’s not unusual during such a journey to witness a large airplane’s descent onto the airport tarmac and buzz just over top of one of America’s busiest highways.
Kind of cool? Yup. But also a bit scary if we’re being honest.
One such commute became a realized moment of terror for a bakery truck driver this weekend when a 767 struck a pole which, in turn, smacked into his truck in dramatic fashion.
