REPORT: Sherrill Administration to disclose hundreds of additional noncitizen votes from outside “glitch” window

TRENTON, N.J. — This is my shocked face, Save Jerseyans!

The New Jersey Globe’s David Wildstein reported Wednesday that the Division of Elections plans to remove approximately 5,100 registrations involving noncitizens connected to the alleged MVC computer error. The state had previously disclosed that approximately 6,600 individuals who identified themselves to MVC as noncitizens nevertheless ended up registered to vote.

What’s significant: Wildstein added that while 340 noncitizens voted AFTER the “glitch,” roughly 220 noncitizens were registered BEFORE the MVC malfunction and cast ballots in New Jersey elections.

None of this is a surprise to anyone paying attention; there are individuals currently facing criminal prosecution for voting in the Garden State prior to the June 2023 to June 2024 “glitch” window. Nevertheless, the Administration’s latest admission is likely to substantially complicate the state’s explanation of the controversy. Until now, much of the attention has centered on how thousands of people who affirmatively indicated they were not citizens could nevertheless emerge from the MVC process as registered voters. The discovery of a separate group predating that malfunction presents an additional issue for election officials to explain.

How did those 220 registrations originate?

How long were those individuals on the rolls?

How many elections did they participate in?

And, perhaps most importantly, does the state know whether additional noncitizens remain registered through pathways unrelated to the alleged MVC error?

This latest disclosure further confirms what most of us knew from the beginning: the alleged “MVC glitch” was always a bullshit excuse, Save Jerseyans, one which sought to distract from the broader question confronting New Jersey’s election system…

How can a sanctuary state that hands out licenses to illegal aliens prevent them from getting onto the voter rolls without SAVE Act-style safeguards? And the end of motor voter?

One final note: NONE OF THESE ADMISSIONS ARE COMING ABOUT VOLUNTARILY.

The federal government is exerting considerable pressure on Sherrill to come clean. Today’s twist comes less than 24 hours after POLITICO’s Joey Fox reported that the state would cooperate with the U.S. House Judiciary Committee’s request for records associated with an inquiry into the voter registration scandal.
