METROPARK, N.J. – Joint legislative hearings will finally get underway today on the mess that is NJ Transit.
Expect lots of anger, finger-pointing, posturing, blaming of Chris Christie and, maybe, a grain of truth or two if we’re lucky.
Assemblywoman Nancy Munoz (R-Union), who will participate in the hearings, kicked off her Thursday by boarding an 8:34 a.m. Northeast Corridor NJ Transit train at Metropark bound for Trenton.
“Hopping on the train to Trenton for today’s @NJTRANSIT hearings,” Munoz (R-Union) tweeted at 8:56 a.m.
To the surprise of no one, Munoz’s train ran five minutes late.
A pattern of daily train delays, cancellations, and even long-term line suspensions (Raritan Valley Line and the A.C. train, too) have created an uproar throughout the Garden State.
