Three New Jersey Democrats were among the Pelosi defectors who voted with the Republicans — Van Drew (NJ-2), Malinowski (NJ-07), and Sherrill (NJ-11).
Andy Kim (D, NJ-03) voted with the majority to keep the unpaid partial federal shutdown going despite the presence of the joint base in his district AND the fact that he has repeatedly complained about federal workers not receiving their paychecks:
Tomorrow, fed workers, incl many in NJ, will miss their paychecks for the 1st time since the shutdown. The pain & hardship is unnecessary, unacceptable & affects many of those protecting our country & our borders. I stand w our workers by not taking a paycheck until they get paid pic.twitter.com/ElZWA1XgS7
