New Jersey is a ‘sanctuary state,’ and that policy’s supporters (led by Phil Murphy) claim that it somehow makes residents safer. Appearing on Face the Nation last Sunday, Booker told interviewer Margaret Brennan that President Trump’s threat to send illegals to sanctuary jurisdictions is “trying to pit Americans against each other and make us less safe.”
